Can I erase DTCs although I haven’t fixed the malfunction of the car?
Yes, but the car will indicate the malfunction again after a while and the same DTC will appear again. If the malfunction also was indicated on the dash board by a warning lamp, the warning lamp will light up again until the problem is fixed.
